Teenca, you are a life saver. I just booked my tour on 18 May 2019. They only had one time left open at 13:45, so I took it. Woohooo!!!

Holy s***! Sorry for not answering to you. It was too late for me (10 pm in Europe), so I turned off my computer I'm happy to come to my mind the booking information in time. My mates booked and bought our tickets online, but I remembered they had booked them directly. And I've found the direct and official way to buy tickets. It's cheaper than the intermediary or agent. But its timetable is just open to January 2019. It's risky to follow week by week when the next months will be open. And we had Italian guide, not English. It's okay for us, we had read about the picture earlier. These information are overdue a bit, because you managed to book your tour, but here the link. www.vivaticket.it/eng/event/cenacolo-vinciano/26482cenacolovinciano.vivaticket.it/ita/event/cenacolo-vinciano/63954?idt=744

I have removed the Venice leg from my trip to Italy in May. I came to learn that Venice these days have been completely swamped by flooding waters, and tourists from the cruise ships. It's expensive enough as it is to travel to Italy and to be shoulder to shoulder with tourists everywhere in Venice would make me miserable. So it's Milan and Crema for me this time. Simone's fantasy based dreams about Venice: Reality!!!! Fuck this!

Sorry for you not to travel to Venice, but you have rational reasons. Maybe another time. Actually I've never been to Venice, too, though it's not too far from my home.

You've never been to Venice and it's not too far from your home? That's funny. Maybe you too have compelling reasons to avoid Venice. I hope to visit it one day in the future.

Yep, it's circa 550 (air) kms/350 miles (from Hungary). Not too big distance even in Europe. There were reasons in the past, now I'd like to see other places more than Venice. I'm sure you will!

Hi there,
Let me know if you need any info on how to get to all the sites of CMBYN. I own a few accommodations (San Clemente/Relais Vimercati and 4Stanze@4 vie) in Crema and can help organize bicycles/taxis/car rentals in cooking lessons in Crema. I'd be happy to share info.
Best regards, Arlene

I have just made the decision to postpone my trip to Milan/Crema this May and I'm rebooking everything for next May, 2020. When I made the decision to visit Italy this May (way back in June of 2018), several events that now occur before and after this trip had not been scheduled yet. I'm going to Coachella in April, my family is visiting me here in California the week before that, and I'm going to Comic Con in July. Both of these events use a lottery type system for you to buy tickets, it's a Godsend I was able to secure tickets to both of these highly coveted events. Each of these adventures are going to cost a lot of money, and that has caused me a little stress in how to fully enjoy my trip to Italy which is going to be a grand expense all on its own. So, I have already canceled my hotel reservations and I will visit during the same time period next May. I'll book the same hotels, and I have requested to have my Last Supper tour booking transferred to the next year. I hope they oblige me as I believe the booking is non-refundable.
Anyway, I've waited 20 years to visit Italy, what's 15 more months?

Sorry about the postponing, but I'm sure you'll have a great trip next year. Without financial and timing issues.

I'm relieved actually about postponing it because it was stressing me about about financing the trip, and there is a huge audit coming up at work that will be a lot of work for my department in the coming months. It sucks going on a holiday and worry about your budget AND issues at work, and the cost of an expense event 7 weeks later.
I even bought a new book on Italy on Wednesday, 'Milan & the Italian Lakes District' and starting reading it on Thursday. And then late yesterday, I started to get a nagging feeling about how to set aside funds for all these upcoming events. So, I'm only postponing Italy, got a new date all settled.

Yep, sometimes we have to make decisions like that not to spoil a coming experience.
