This community allows people to visit and post comments anonymously. I have this setting to encourage non-members to stop by and get a feel of the community and grant them access to post a comment to test the waters here. Do not try to call out people who post anonymously by assuming who they are. When you make an assumption, you're setting yourself up for embarrassment and coming off as a nosy bully. People post anonymously because it's safe and comfortable to do so. I may post anonymously, you may post anonymously. It's rude to try to call out people by speculating who they are. Anon posters bring interesting information to the community whether it be genuine intel or coming out of left field opinions and speculations.
Respect anon posters like you respect regular members.
I won't be posting much while I'm away in Michigan visiting family, but I'll try to pop in. Have a great Labor Day weekend. If you really need to reach out to me to ask a question, just pm me, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hey, now that Club Chalamet is a few months old and coming along fine, I'm now expanding to Instagram. I have my own IG account, but I have family and long time friends following me there and I need to keep personal 'Simone' stuff there, and post Timmy stuff at the CC IG. Please visit the new Instagram at:
Really bummed out with the Supreme Court confirmation hearing and vote, and I will be at a music festival this weekend, so I won't be around much today through late Sunday. DM or email me if you have questions or concerns. Thanks.
If in the future any member of Club Chalamet feels that this community is no longer of interest to them, please just leave and stop visiting, or, send me a DM letting me know that you won't be visiting anymore. I have no problem with members leaving a community; I have left many communities before, just ghosted them because I lost interest. Simples. I never wrote a mean message to the community about why I'm leaving, no one gives a fuck. We all have lives and other interests. But when someone posts a rude message on these forums about their intentions to "no longer visit here" and disparage me and the community at large, I have a problem with that. Not only will that rude goodbye note be deleted (because there's no way I'm going to allow someone to give me/us the finger or final word before they leave), but that former member will also be banned.
I take management of this community very seriously and I respect all members here and future members. But trust me when I say this, every single word I write here, I stand behind it 100% and with the full awareness that friends/family/management team of Timothée (or Timmy himself), may, at one point or time, read what is written here. I will not allow anything to be posted here at Club Chalamet that is disrespectful to Timothée - I respect, admire, and adore him too much to create a space where people can come here and post rude things about him. However, if your worldview is so narrow and cannot fathom concepts or ideologies that makes you think outside of a conservative box, you might need to learn to agree to disagree, or just say nothing. If ONE post by the administrator of this community ruffles your feathers so badly that you can instantly write off the entire community, then this wasn't the place for you from the start.
As I continue to work to welcome more members to come and visit Club Chalamet, please let me know, via direct message, any concerns you have. A few of you have written kind notes of support or brought my attention to something, and I appreciate that. But if there's anything I can do to make this community more engaging and interesting for you, please let me know.
For months now, so many of you have written wonderful, funny, informative, and quirky comments. I would like to start highlighting what some of you write with a Club Chalamet Quote of the Day or Week. It will have to be a comment that really catches my eye and I want to share it at Twitter and Instagram.
As an example, here is the first CC Quote of the Day honor!
Due to a very interesting side topic regarding another film, I'm going to create a 'Everything else' forum in case people want to share thoughts with this particular community, things that are still sort of related to Timothée or of interest to fellow fans of Timmy. Let me know if you think that idea sucks or not.
Hey everyone, I'm in the process of a Q&A interview about the fandom for a journalist. As part of her research, she has visited Club Chalamet, and she's impressed with what we have here. She wrote:
"It looks incredible, I love the organisation and it’s all so calm!"
Thank you all for helping me build up Club Chalamet to what it is today. For a casual reviewer to come check out our community in a professional capacity and say that we're organized and "calm" means so much to me. Together we can continue to build up this amazing community. Being a fan of Timothée is one thing, but sharing it with such an elite group of mature fans is another. Thank you and please share this community with like minded friends and fans of Timmy!!
I want to take a moment to thank each and every active member of Club Chalamet, and the lovely lurkers who regularly visit the forums to read the latest postings. I greatly appreciate everyone's input, however large or small, in helping build this community. We've come a long way, but still have so much growing to do. But I think in our first six months, we're doing wonderful. How do I know? Well, Club Chalamet is KNOWN about and appreciated by whom this community honors, and that's a great mission accomplished goal! Just knowing that we exist is the beautiful motivation to stay the course in our continued support of Timmy, especially in the next couple of months as this awards season will be stressful enough, but hopefully ends on the highest note possible.
Thanks to you all for making this happen, let's continue to be awesome, and Merry Christmas!
There are a lot of new visitors here to CC and I'm glad you're stopping by. If you have a question you'd like to ask me in private, or to share information, you can DM me, but you have to register with the community first in order to do that. You can create an anonymous account, (e.g.,'Anon01') profile if you like, but you must create one in order to communicate with me in private and keeping your anonymity.
With the community growing and more visitors visiting, and with that, spammers spamming, I'm happy to announce that Teenca is going to help out in being a moderator of Club Chalamet. She lives in Hungary and will be another set of valuable eyes on the board for housekeeping purposes in deleting spam postings that come with the territory of developing communities.
Please note that if you happen to attempt to visit the community, and you get an admin message error page from Proboards, this happens every so often and there's nothing to be alarmed about. Just try to come back 5-10 minutes later and you'll see the community. It's not anything directly related to Club Chalamet, it's more a system wide Proboards message when their network is overwhelmed. I just received this message about 15 minutes ago and wanted to share this with you all, especially for those who haven't seen that message yet.
I have added four new default avatars for members who can't find a Timmy image to upload themselves. Continuing the theme of things from films Timmy has starred in, the new avatars joining the Peach (CMBYN) and Crown (the King) are:
I'm doing some light maintenance on the forums today to remove dead threads that have less than 2 responses. So please don't take offense if a thread you created is deleted. Maybe at another time, you can re-create it when discussions warrant active participation. A key in helping keep a thread you created active is to bump it up and add valid updates to keep the thread going.
The community has experienced an increase in 'guest' spamming, mostly from Russia, and posting spam crap. To prevent further intrusion, I have set posting permissions to members and staff only. As we approach our year anniversary next month, the community is developing its presence on the internet and in web searches, and this permits people/bots prone to spamming to find CC a nice and cozy place to spam.
What does this mean? Unfortunately, if you want to post, you must now register. It's not hard. In fact, many of our regular guest posters are very nice and informative, so we would love to welcome you to become a new member. Please consider joining us officially so that you can continue to contribute (and have an avatar to identify yourself).
Sorry for the inconvenience, but I had to implement these changes to make the community safe and spam free as possible, and enjoyable for all. If you have any questions, please pm me or email me at email@example.com.
