So best bet is 8:00 pm showing or 10:00 am showing? I'm going to go for the 8pm screening. Seats are reserved there. Saturday morning at Ryerson non-reserved, the earlier in line, the better the seat (but that will mean standing in line on a Saturday morning for 2+ hours). I'll have to see what's available for me to purchase. These tickets are going to sell out really fast. I'm already nervous.

Beautiful Boy is part of the Official Selection at the 66th San Sebastian Film Festival, another long established nice film festival, 21-29 September.

I received my email from TIFF with my window time to redeem my Flex 6 movie pack next week. The benefit of being a member of TIFF allows us to get tickets earlier than the public ticket pack holders redemption. I know for a fact that TIFF holds back tickets on a roll-out type feature, to allow people redeeming their ticket packs later than others to secure tickets, and also to allow people to buy the remaining tickets available for the public sale and single ticket day sale. So, I have my fingers crossed to get at least one of the 3 screenings of Beautiful Boy at TIFF. If I don't, it would suck, but it won't be the end of the world. I have known people higher of the TIFF member food chain who have been blocked from getting tickets to a gala or follow up screening, so this crap does happen. Just a heads up.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Thanks hon. Like I have done in the past with my previous fandom, I attend events and film festivals in support of certain celebrities in order to share my experience with those who can't attend. I love attending these things, but it's so much more fun sharing the experience with like minded fans.

Is there a way to know when the Q/As will be?

If there will be a Q&A, it will be announced at the screening.

Aye aye aye! TIFF can really make one pull their hair out when you have limited time to see so many great films. I usually include a documentary or two, but the ones I want to see don't fit my schedule well enough.
Tentatively here is my screening plan:
Friday, 7 Sept: 12:30 pm Vox Lux (2:00 pm Sharkwater Extinction - Alt selection) 8:00 pm Beautiful Boy at the Elgin (Preferred screening) my hotel is crawling distance away (9:30 pm The Predator alternate - will see BB Saturday alternate)
Saturday, 8 Sept: 11:00 am Skin (10:45 am Beautiful Boy at the Ryerson - alternate if I can't see BB Friday) 4:00 pm 22 July (3:30 pm Girl - Alt selection) 11:30 pm Halloween
Sunday, 9 Sept: 10:30 am Widows (Everybody Knows - Alt Selection)

Here's the news we've been waiting to know in advance!!
So Timothée will be at the Q&A at the Elgin Friday night (they don't do Q&As at the Gala), and at Ryerson. The 13th is for Press screening only - no public.

Simone, do you expect BB will have a press conference? I remember Call Me By Your Name did last year and I saw some press conference for other movies, like A Star is Born, has been announced and there's already also a youtube page on the official channel of TIFF for the streaming. Nothing seems to have been announced for BB, so I was wondering if it won't happen or it might be announced later. In other news, it seems the Hugo Boss party will celebrate BB this year.

Oh yes, there will surely be a press conference for BB, but like all press conferences, it'll only be for the press, not the public. They usually hold the bulk of press conference next door of the TIFF Bell Lightbox at the Hyatt Regency Toronto (rooms all sold out).
