Beautiful Boy's current worldwide gross is 14.6 million. I think this is still a good number since this subject is really something not a lot of people would appreciate. I still think it would reach 15 million as it is yet to open in other markets like Spain, Italy and Japan.

Hi, I’m Dave from Somerset, UK; I’ve just joined up today after the Twitter message about spammers. BB has just come out on DVD here a fortnight ago; I found it rather emotional as I’ve got a bit of experience in this topic. I’ve attached screenshots from my favourite scene, but there are no spoilers in this message. I’ve watched this scene several times as I loved the really diverse range of expressions in his face and his voice. In the first row, there was nervous laughter, perhaps as he realised the craziness of what he was asking, and the last image is the scene from the trailer — ‘This is me, Dad!’. Row 2: ‘D’you like what you see?’ Row 3: ‘You’re doing it now!’ I’m gonna have to watch it again soon, because in a scene where he had visible track marks up his arms, it occurred to me that he otherwise looked in pretty good shape for someone in such poor health. However I’ve since read that he lost over a stone for this film, which I hadn’t noticed. Is there much of a visible difference in his appearance between the beginning and end of the film? I pre-ordered this film as soon as I finished watching CMBYN (my first Timmy film, brilliant, can’t wait for a sequel), and I’ve just ordered Interstellar, One and Two, plus Hot Summer Nights. By the way, is there a way to make the newest messages appear first on each page instead of the oldest? And which countries do people in this group come from? And who/what/where is Timmy Stan? Is it a country in Central Asia where everyone’s got massive hair and amazing fashion sense? Cheers Dx

Sorry, picture's come out tiny, but you can see it bigger if you click on it. Any idea how I could've made it bigger on the page without having to click on it?

I'm glad you enjoyed Beautiful Boy and are on top of ordering Timmy's other films. The scene in BB that you described above was very moving and heartbreaking. It was his Oscar clip. He brilliantly encompassed every real emotion that someone in his situation would express to their parent. To answer your other question, this board functions like any messageboard. You click on the thread you want to read, and go directly to the first new message. Can't change it. Your other questions can be posted in the General thread.

I first became a big fan of Timothee Chalamet after watching "Beautiful Boy." I was deeply moved by that performance and appreciated its social message about addiction and disease when it comes to certain drugs. It was hard for me to watch without getting emotional. Timothee sure knows how to completely immerse himself into a role and give it his all.

I just don't understand these foreign release dates. Beautiful Boy is just now released in Korea. Dang.

And I'll never understand why it was never released on DVD/Blu Ray here in the US when it was released in other countries on DVD/Blu Ray. I had to order it from Canada.

That's a good idea, I'll order it from Canada. Hey tracyrcat when you visit Toronto, can you pick up a DVD of Beautiful Boy for me?

Thanks for the link Jenna. I'll certainly place my order soon. Here I am, being all patient and shit with Amazon US and nothing, not a damn thing. I might as well get the Hot Summer Nights DVD while I'm at it.

You're welcome. Yep, that's your best bet. I'm glad I was able to get it on Blu Ray from Canada since it hasn't been released in the US and who knows if it ever will be? Still don't understand why it hasn't been. I just find that so odd.

Especially as a hard core Timmy fan who wants to build up a tangible Blu-ray/DVD library of his films, it's important to have access to buying them. I'll never understand the film distribution system. It's wrought with legal and territorial red tape I'll never understand.
