Just as I had desired, a high profile industry twitter personality and film critic RTd my tweet in support of The King!

Really proud and impressed by Timmy being able to pull double-duty last night in promoting both The King and Little Women. The Lead Actor field this year is unusually impressive with so many spectacular performances. I just don't know if Timmy will made the lead cut, but nonetheless, Netflix believes in him and they are pulling up all the stops to promote The King. It has paid off thus far with an impressive count of 13 Australian Oscar nominations where his performance in the lead category is a standout - he could actually win it down under! Anyway, it's forming up to be an interesting awards year and Timmy may after all be in contention with his two films.

I don't know why this happens, but I'm hoping that the streaming version of The King does have the scenes of these images. It's false advertising to have these scenes in the trailer, the very marketing tool to attract viewers, only to not include them in the actual film.

Sasha at Awards Daily doesn't have The King listed in any of the Oscar categories. But she has Little Women in the prominent categories, along with Timmy in supporting.
I already know this season is going to give me a migraine.

Like how Amazon put out all the stops to support Timmy and Beautiful Boy last year, Netflix is doing the same, and they even changed their header to reflect their love and support for him and his movie. All this at the height of all the buzz for The Irishman, Marriage Story, Dolemite is my Name, and the upcoming possible Best Picture winner, The Two Popes.
Thanks Netflix!

Netflix has been great, as was Amazon last year. They are putting up a fight. There are a lot of deserving actors this year in lead and supporting, so some who deserve to be there, won't get in, just the way it is. His better showcase was in The King (being lead and just some really amazing scenes) but I feel if he has any shot at all, it will be with LW and that will be tough too. If he gets some noms, fantastic! If not, life goes on and we have The French Dispatch and Dune next year! But I am absolutely thrilled with both The King and LW and all he can do is keep doing great work.

This is a great article by TIME comparing The King film to the Henriad Shakespeare plays. Let's just say that I like The King better, especially the way they treat Falstaff.
