There's nothing on IMDB, and the official Netflix page on The King doesn't have jack either. www.netflix.com/title/80182016Don't have a clue how accurate RT is if neither of the other websites have anything. wikipedia The king already update realease date Oct 18 2019 IMDB still no update release date the King still waiting official date Looks like wikipedia for The King was edited today. Perhaps someone just copied that unverifiable info from RT and put it up there. One would think that Netflix would be on top of this and update their page with confirmation. Right now, I don't know what the heck to believe.

'Moonlight' & 'If Beale Street Could Talk' composer Nicholas Britell to score David Michod's 'The King' starring Timothée Chalamet, Joel Edgerton, Ben Mendelsohn & Robert Pattinson.
Britell has previously scored Plan B’s Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk, for both of which he earned Academy Award nominations, as well as The Big Short and Vice.
"The King will premiere later this year in select theaters and on Netflix."
Does this mean he is just starting to score it now or they just decided to announce it now?? This is GREAT news as both of those scores were Excellent.

The uk netflix site has added an adult rating to the king, which is the equivalent to an 18 and over.

Wow, well lets see what happens tomorrow! That would be great if it is at Venice though. Pretty prestigious festival to premiere at! But we will see tomorrow. Crossing my fingers.

I'm wondering, do you think The King will be a limited release and only showing at certain theaters? There are some small theaters that show indie type movies that aren't too far from me. So I'm hoping maybe it'll be showing at one of them. Plus I'm not that far from NYC so maybe it'll be showing at a theater there. I know it'll be on Netflix but I'd love to see it on a big screen.

I hope The King will be able to seen in one theatre in Budapest, too. There's no much chance for it, but after all it was shot in Hungary. It deserves a premier on a big screen.

Timothée posted on twitter today, the first time in months. And similar to his Beautiful Boy tweet for TIFF, it looks like The King will premiere at Venice, which will be officially announced tomorrow!
