I'm so excited for both you and your mom to see Little Women. It's such a joy to watch. I look forward to seeing it again too.

Brace yourselves for the post-release promotions to be more focused on Saoirse and Florence and Greta for any awards talks and considerations. I believe that Timmy has done all promotions that are expected of him pre-release. Let's face it, even though he's excellent in the film, and brings vitality to each scene he's in, even a scene-stealer in a scene or two, Little Women is about the March sisters from childhood to young adults, it's not the Timmy Show. So with that said, I'm still gung ho in support of LW and its Oscar chances, but the men of Little Women, especially Timmy will be sidelined for the next 8 weeks related to this film. Timmy has a HUGE fanbase and his presence at possible Q&As would upstage the ladies who are the ones in contention for any awards, especially for Florence as getting a nomination will be a star on her rising fame.

I'm going to see it with my mother too on Thurs. I'd seen it at the test screening but honestly that was 6 months ago and I barely remember most of it. It's all kind of a blur by now. lol So I'm going to see it with my mother and then again with a friend. Plus I'm interested to see if there are any changes they might've made since the test screening. I'm sure they've made some.

It's much improved from the test screenings, I know you'll love it.

This is a strange article from the perspective of a journalist acting like a post-film set stalker. Someone who goes around sniffing out details about what happened during the actor's downtime while filming. Although it's an odd way of writing about "Little Women", the author's intrusive and unorthodox probing has unveiled things we might never had heard about Timmy and his castmates while filming LW.
Check out these parts on Timmy:
- I'm glad this is mentioned, people need to see that Timmy does greatly appreciate not having to have to pose with fans or people all the time. He just wants to be treated like a regular human being.
- Again, while this is interesting info, it is kind of intrusive to make public his private living behaviors. At the time of filming, he's a regular 22-year-old boy minding his own business.
- This just confirms what we already know. Timothée is a striking looking young man, and if you don't know who he is, he does stand out.
- I think I've heard this about Timmy before, that he's not big on drinking, and that's cool because I'm not either.

Saw Little Women today. I'd seen it at a test screening but of course had to see it again. lol I absolutely love this movie. It was so beautifully done, from the acting to the costumes to the music etc. And of course seeing Timmy's beautiful face on the big screen made my day. lol I've read reviews where they've said that he was perfectly cast as Laurie and I couldn't agree more.

Saw it again today and loved it. The 2nd half is just absolutely superb, like literally every single scene. I got teary-eyed a few times (I just love every scene that Chris Cooper is in - I just love the character he plays). It was mostly sold out, except the first row was entirely empty, which no way I would see a movie THAT close. All different ages of women (there was literally only 1 guy I saw, with his wife/gf). My Mom enjoyed it as well (she has seen previous adaptions). This was her first time seeing Timmy in a movie and she thought he was very good. I think I'll have to see it one more time in the theatre, before it stops playing.

The theater where we saw it was packed which is surprising since I saw it in a small theater in a small town. lol I wasn't expecting that many people to be there. I've heard others say it's been sold out where they went to see it. I'm so happy it seems to be doing so well at the box office. I'm going to see it again on Mon with a friend. I just have to see it twice. lol

www.nytimes.com/2019/12/27/opinion/little-women-movie.htmlWhen I have some more time this holiday break, I will write an indepth largely positive review of "Little Women." But I share the above-referenvd article, because I have encountered what it says in my life. For example, my mother saw the film with me but not my father. And when I mention the film to men whom I am friends with, I get blank reactions. I am a 34 year old male and really enjoyed the film. Timothee did an awesome job playing a romantic but flawed suitor. I could care less whether the film was about four sisters or four brothers. All I want from any film is a well acted, written, and directed good story. Greta Gerwig more than delivers the goods, and I think it is insane how she has not been nominated for awards this year. No one would classify me as "woke" as a generally center right person, but I will say men as a whole need to do better at not being dismissive of stories or movies just because they focus on women. One of my favorite films of the last 20 years is "The Devil Wears Prada" and that is because I can relate to the characters in the story. We men need to have more open minds sometimes. I am all for breaking down stereotypes including one in which men, especially straight ones, are somehow not supposed to be fans of a work of art like "Little Women" or even of an actor like Timothee. I am glad to see the box office for the movie doing well so far and which hopefully includes audiences of women and yes plenty of men enjoying the film.
