No doubt in my mind. Stage doors will be eliminated in NY and London, soon. Just seems inevitable and I don't blame them. At this point, I am just praying that I get to London and get to see Timmy on stage and meet up with friends and have fun. I anticipate no stage door. It is what it is. We also have the advantage of living in LA, we'll have other opportunities to meet Timmy, but for now, we'll just play it by ear, go see the play, respond appropriately regarding the stage door, go to the pub, and fly home the next day. So many fans cannot even fly to London to see the play, we are very, very privileged to do so. In any event, here is a timely YT video about the drama of the stage door at all theaters, just posted today, so it's relevant:

The fast-changing situation with the coronavirus and getting it contained has turned all that we know upside down. Now with the flight bans from the UK and Ireland, it's any moment now that the UK will implement a ban on large public gatherings. If they implement this in the coming week, a 30 day ban would affect plays in London as most shows have an audience of 300+ people. Sadly, this could have an unfortunate effect on the 7 week run of 4k Miles as it begins on 6 April through 23 May. If a 30-day ban is implemented as early as next week, that automatically kills the first 2 weeks of the play, and threatening the 3rd week, which would then be the "first" week of the play. Basically, all of April would be fucked for the play. Trust me, I hate being this pessimistic, but that's how quickly things are changing.
If there is no UK ban on large public gatherings, but it is encouraged that people stay away, and this kept the London theater scene a safe haven, then the show could go on.
Timmy looked depressed in his IG post on Friday and I absolutely understand why.

I couldn't go see the play anyway, but I feel bad for people especially 1's from the US who were planning on going. I see from the post above that they're still planning on having it go on. But that could change I guess depending on what's going on. It's hard to say because things are still developing at this time. I think in a situation like this though it's better to be safe than sorry. And they of course have to consider not only the cast and crew but the audiences as well. This whole thing is such a shame. It really is.

The Old Vic is being really vague right now. Just saying they are monitoring the situation and all the performances are still scheduled to go on as usual. Not giving any indication if refunds would be given and to just go view their "terms and conditions." But clearly, this is an unusual situation that no one could have thought of happening. So hopefully, if shows are cancelled or if some people can't get there, such as those of us coming from the US (if the ban is still in place), they give us refunds. I'm just really hoping in the next 30 days things improve but I am getting less optimistic each day

Britain and especially London seem to be trying something else than France, Spain, and Italy with respect to the virus. Rather than doing a lockdown, the United Kingdom has so far kept everything open and may be hoping for herd immunity if enough healthy people get and survive the virus. But I am uncertain whether that is the right answer. I think that's why though none of the plays have been canceled. Unfortunately I think once Britains NHS starts to get overwhelmed under this approach they will then do a lockdown. But it might be too late by then to have much of an effect. We will know a lot more this week and next about what is right.

I understand what London is trying to do, but we'll see in a week or two if their gamble is wise. A lot of money is on the line for commerce in the UK. I think Old Vic will still move forward with the play even with empty seats from non-British patrons. I'm still prepared to attend until such time comes when it's announced the play has been canceled or postponed.
My thinking, better to have some performances than no performances in the West End.

We will know a lot more this week and next about what is right. I have heard this mentioned now numerous times from people living in the UK. Some are quite angry with the government, feeling as if they are playing Russian Roulette with people's lives. They seem to be going with this "herd immunity" as you mentioned. Try and protect those 60-70+ and those with underlying health issues but then let everyone else get it and hope there is a mass immunity. Seems a very risky thing to be trying and a bit nerve wracking for someone, like myself, planning on being there in 6 weeks or so. I don't want to get it, even if there is an 80% I'll be fine. One never knows! Whether it works or not, guess we'll find out in the next few weeks. Italy had another 368 deaths in the last 24 hours! Spain's death toll has doubled in one day, to 288 with infections at 8000. Europe is really have a tough time with this virus. I hope the US is doing all they can to prevent infections - if we get in this same situation as Italy/Spain, the # of deaths/infections will go way, way up. Just saw an update in UK today - interesting article. www.bbc.com/news/uk-51895873?at_custom2=twitter&at_custom4=F246DABA-6698-11EA-9CBA-4AF4FCA12A29&at_custom3=%40BBCBreaking&at_campaign=64&at_medium=custom7&at_custom1=%5Bpost+type%5D

The Old Vic has canceled the remainder of the performances from the popular End Game play. All other performances are still scheduled to continue.

All theaters in the U.K. have been closed. There are new pics of Timmy in London and it looks like he's heading out. I'd think he'd be going back home to NY.

I don't see this happening. What a disappointment. I don't need to cancel yet, have until April 25th, so I'll hang on for a bit. But between this news and the one about the EU (including England) proposing a 30 day travel ban, things are looking bleak, to say the least. Even if they open the theatres back up in late April, not sure those in the US can even get there. At the news conference this morning, even Trump mentioned this could go on until July/August, although I am sure some of the measures would be removed.

Guys, 4000 Miles is NO LONGER listed on the front page of Old Vic.
I'm gutted, devastated, pissed off.
An announcement should be forthcoming from Old Vic.www.oldvictheatre.com/

Oh, crap. I just saw this post. I figured Timmy wouldn't be going home to NY if it wasn't cancelled. This is just awful news.
