Eileen Atkins is just so awesome. Wonderful actress, and she cracks me up. I don't have a desire to go to bed with Timothee. But as a young male fan of his, I would settle for a handshake or dareisay a hug if still socially acceptable in a post-coronavirus world hahaha. I can't wait to see this play whether later this year or 2021! And I think it bodes so well that after spending years to find a young male lead for the play she was so impressed with Timothees acting. Of course we are not surprised! Also again I hope you all are staying safe and doing well during this crisis. May it pass soon!

Your post made me think again how utterly crazy this year has been. Never in my wildest dreams when we bought the tickets in December would I have imagined a world in which we physically could not fly to London right now. I saw that the West End is now officially closed until the end of May. I agree with you that 2021 is looking more likely the date.
I do have fun question for everyone. So right now on Timothees confirmed schedule is the play, the Bob Dylan film, Dune Part II most likely, and Call Me By Your Name Part II. Let's presume the world is opening up again in June. What do you think the order of Timothees projects will be? Can he take on more work or probably not until 2022 or even 2023 at this point?

Huh... Okay, let's being a soothsayer. Maybe the Bob Dylan movie in this year, then the play, Dune part II, and CMBYN sequel in the end perhaps in 2022 or later. And a new project sometimes...

That's a logical order. I suspect Dune Part II could be as much as four to five months of shooting based on how long it took to make Dune Part I. I think that film plus two months of the play could take up a lot of Timothees time in 2021. I wonder then if at that point another project comes along for the latter part of 2021 or is scheduled after Call Me by Your Name 2.

What do you think the order of Timothees projects will be? Can he take on more work or probably not until 2022 or even 2023 at this point? Covid-19 has completely disrupted schedules that have been set as far back as 18 months ago, for things 18 months in the future. It will be a logistical nightmare to reschedule not only Timmy's London play, but it has to fall perfectly within a window of 4 months to allow him to rehearse and do the play and be available for all performances. What we need to take into consideration is the priority of which his upcoming projects fall in. I'm taking a gamble and saying that the play will have to fall on Timmy's schedule after the filming for Going Electric which might be pushed out 4-5 months. And now that French Dispatch has an October release date, he'll do promotions for that, followed by the premiere of Dune, if it's still on target to open on the now crowded as fuck week of December 18th. CMBYN 2 is at least 3 years out, at least. Timmy is 24 and he'll play a 27 yo Elio, so three years from now, he would be primed to look like how a 27 yo Elio would look like. And funny enough, Armie, currently 33, will be 36-37 playing a 35-year-old Oliver, so their actual real-life ages would perfectly match up with E and O's. I'm basing these ages on the end of the first book. If a sequel is being made, I think it will deviate and combine elements from the end of the first book and the Elio and Oliver chapter of Find Me, that's the only way it'll work, and the film would be loosely based on a blending of the two books. Re: Dune 2, for all we know, the production of that probably has been set for sometime in 2022 and that's up to 5 months of work there. Once the virus abates for Hollywood to kick start film production, we'll have a better idea of what Timmy's schedule would look like. If we fans are anxious for normalcy, imagine how the talent and decision makers feel about this lock down, it's been devastating for us all. But I strongly think that Timmy will be available to do the play sometime in 2021, most likely early/late spring.

I really think Dune may need to get pushed back to have a weekend or two mostly to itself. I am really afraid it might become buried in competition even if it is a classic great movie which I am praying it will be. Spring 2021 might be a better time to release it if not Summer 2021. And I agree with much of what you have stated. I am already looking forward to London in 2021 with a renewed appreciation for life and people.
