Thanks for that update chalametthegreat. If the UK bans people from the US, that will kill the Pearl Jam concert in July. Period. So we'll see what happens. But as I type this, I'm thinking about just doing a full week in Paris, I may even take a day trip to Bruges, Belgium. I posted this the other day, but the indirect Timmy parallelism just went over most people's heads due to the lack of engagement. What I was trying to frame to everyone is that Whoopi Goldberg's highly anticipated Sister Act play in London has a new run date of July-August 2022. Whoopi had to pull out, that's just too damn long in the future for her. So I'm thinking we might hear news of 4000 Miles being pushed to a similar time in summer 2022, or it may be pushed way into 2023. And I would not be surprised if Eileen Atkins decides to pull out of 4k Miles because she's inching close to 90 years of age. She'll be 87 in June, so we have to keep this in mind. https://www.instagram.com/p/CLXIvgmALIL

You make a very good case when 4000 Miles might come out. I dont blame Whoopi for not wanting to commit to Sister Act so far out. She is reprising her role as Guinan on the second season of Star Trek Picard so I need her to focus on that project this year which I am very excited about! And I am hoping for 2022 over 2023 because man have we been waiting for this play for a long time.
I will only add that the one major film that could change Timothees entire schedule in 2022 or 2023 is Dune Part II. Let's say Dune Part I does so well on streaming and box office later this year that Warner Brothers and Legendary greenlit the next half of the book. Do you think Dune Part II will most likely then have to film in 2022 in order to get that massive cast together again soon, and if it does doesnt that mean Timothee is filming for eight or nine months?!
I obviously hope the above scenario transpires since we love Dune, but if it does 4000 Miles gets pushed even further down the calendar. I think the Dune movies are the biggest unknowable right now with regard to Timothees immediate acting future. Timothee could very well sign onto another huge spectacle film during the next year.
I'd love to still see Eileen Atkins in the play even though she would be 90 then, but I think you could very well be right. I am impressed though how many legendary actresses that age or older are still active in show business such as Betty White and Angela Lansbury. I wonder if they replace Eileen Atkins who would follow her? My dream team of casting of older women is Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, or Helen Mirren with Helen being the youngest in her late 70s.
But I wish you the best in your travels if you get to fly out of the country this year. Right now I am just thinking of domestic vacations for 2021 and hope that the world changes for the better finally in 2022. 4000 Miles will be amazing whenever it happens and it sounds like it is a sure thing once the Western world gets back on its feet again.

I did read today that the United Kingdom anticipates life returning to normal about June as they think most adults will be vaccinated by then. The beginning of the end of this horror! And first step in the journey of 4000 miles!

Thanks for the update. My BA voucher will expire. I strongly hope BA will extend these vouchers again due to the long-term COVID.

My United Airlines voucher expires at the end of 2022, but I plan to use it when I travel to England in December.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that the ticket I bought in 2019 would be used for a play in late 2022 or 2023. Still going to be so worth it whenever it happens!

Still going to be so worth it whenever it happens! lol, isn't that the truth! My Virgin voucher expires the end of 2022. I'll probably call them and see if there is any thought to extending it through 2023. If not, I'll have to use it next year, as I don't want to lose over $400!

I dont know how it is today but I've had good experiences with the airlines and changing plans due to COVID19. Just make sure you get a human being on the phone to talk to. Emails and automation are not helpful in that situation I find.

I just saw in the news England has dropped the quarantine rules for fully vaccinated Americans and European Union members. A good start to potentially the play going forward sometime this decade. I still cant believe it was scheduled over a year ago now.

Didn't Old Vic mention it wouldn't be earlier than July 2022. I imagine it will be 2023 or even 2024. I contacted Virgin Atlantic and they told me my credit is good until April 30, 2023.
