I cant tell based on the images. But because he is not dressed as Wonka at the time, it looks like Timothee went out of his way to greet and mingle with fans in Oxford. Very cool and admirable.

Yes, I think he was done filming for the day and he noticed the fans waiting across the street and he went over to see them. There's a video and you can hear him say, "I'm gonna come over to you but be careful." He meant be careful because there were cars passing by. He's the sweetest.  Also, I heard yesterday was his last day of filming. Apparently they're not done filming but I think they meant they were done filming outdoors and the rest will be done in the Warner Bros. studio. |

In non-superhero release moves, Timothee Chalamet’s turn as chocolatier Willy Wonka in the origin story “Wonka” is being pushed back several months from March 17, 2023, to Dec. 15, 2023.
This is a Xmas/holiday season film anyway. And Covid has disrupted filming several times.

While I am upset that we have to wait almost a year longer to see this film, I never understood why Warner Brothers would release a Christmas movie in March. You want to capitalize on the holiday season. The move makes sense.

I believe the March 2023 date was just a placeholder date to get it on the 2023 schedule. I have come to understand that based on footage that Warner Brothers has seen of Wonka already, has blown their minds and they moved the film to its permanent opening date of December 15, 2023. It is a holiday family film and it's going to do great business.
If you haven't seen Paddington 2 yet, check it out to see director Paul King's work. He's literally the king of these British-oriented family films.

Wonka filming officially wrapped yesterday. Wonder if he's still in London and will be attending the BAFTA's tomorrow night? Or he could be on his way home to NY or out to LA in which case he could attend the Critic's Choice awards. Guess we just have to wait and see where he shows up.

I think Timothee next either goes on vacation or gets some sleep Haha. He has been working straight on Wonka for what seems like many months. I so want a trailer for this movie but with it being delayed until holiday season 2023 I dont think we will get one for another year.

Nothing has leaked out from CinemaCon, which is a good thing. Plus, it's no fun watching grainy images of unauthorized recording of trailers. When we officially see it from Warner Brothers, our patience will be well rewarded. I was told that based on footage that WB saw while principle filming was still going on, WB loved what they saw so much that they moved it to the Christmas 2023 schedule. They totally believe in Timmy.
