After last year's fundraiser, I wasn't sure if I would do it again. It's a lot of work, but, I'm thinking more of how it brings the CC community together to do a good thing in Timmy's honor. He doesn't need trinket gifts/toys from us, I think donating to a worthy charity in his honor is something that means more to him.

I think you are right. Fans can still send him stuff through his agent. But I think the charity gesture is more meaningful. Thanks for organizing.

Yes, and people will surely send him silly things that a 26 year old man cannot possibly use or keep. It's all symbolic in saying, 'I sent him something'. But people are spending a lot of money and shipping cost to send Timmy things that he can't possibly use. Everyone needs socks, so that's a cool gift. But a fuzzy pillow with his face on it, or a something with a peach on it may not be his thing. I'm sure most of the stuff is donated. |
