“Beautiful Boy [which is about a father and his son, who is addicted to drugs] was a script they’d been trying to get made for 10 years. Every guy actor my age had gone up for it. I’ve been lucky, but a lot of the bigger Hollywood movies like Spider-Man, things like that, I didn’t get. So, for Beautiful Boy, I did a lot of research and read about drugs, and I brought the books to my first meeting with the director. I could see in his eyes that he was thinking, This kid is nuts. But I felt this movie—the subject of drug addiction—was so important. I wanted to make an anti-glorification-of-drugs movie. And I think we did.”

Did you meet Nic Sheff, whom you play in the film?
Yes. I met him a week before we started shooting. And there was nothing about Nic that fit my stereotype of an addict. That was the learning grace of this movie: Nic is alive and well, but the reality is, it’s a day at a time. You never really beat it.
You lost so much weight. Was your mom worried about you?
My mom was worried! I lost 18 pounds. First, I’m in a movie where I was having sex with a peach, and then it was like, “I got another movie!” She said, “Great!” And then I had to tell her what it was about.

I just realized Timmy is so popular in China even if CMBYN was not shown there? I guess, the fact that he has a Chinese nickname is a proof that he's a big name there. Like this tweet that I saw, someone posted the video of Timmy acknowledging his Chinese name and it has 3 million views on Weibo.

He's also their pick for most popular foreign actor last year!

I just find it amazing! Now, I'm thinking Dune will be a big hit there once it's been released.

Timothée has spent all week here in LA and tonight, he attended a party for If Beale Street Could Talk. Two weekends ago, he had an IG moment with director, Barry Jenkins (with Beale Street actor, Stephan James), so they're cool. And guess what, Beautiful Boy producer, Brad Pitt (Plan B) was there too. Jesus, I hope all this pays off for Timmy, he's hanging out with the creme de la creme this week.

Every awards event that Timothée Chalamet appears at looking smart and in good spirits and leaving with a smile on his face, is being noticed by voters in @sagawards and @theacademy.

The UN event for the special screening of Beautiful Boy on Jan 23rd is now sold out. Although this is a "public" event, tickets apparently went on sale to a select public audience for this very special event. The UN Office on Drugs and Crime is hosting this screening and because it's at the UN, I'm sure particular security protocols were put in place to avoid the event being overrun by stans from 'Timmy Stan HQ' based in NYC bearing gifts of teddy bears and peach themed items. This is a very serious film on a serious topic and as this event is a day after the Oscar nominations, I'm sure Amazon will have a tighter hold on the reigns of access to Timmy at any BB related events. Even yesterday in London, he was quickly escorted from the Q&A, and now he's in Paris for Fashion Week.

I hate even thinking about having to write this here, but there is another lying ass lie blind item about Timmy being rude to someone. I just posted on twitter that there appears to be a new character assassination attempt by a loathed blind item gossip writer based in LA. He gets paid to write shit about people, or greatly exaggerate stuff for bait click. I just want to put this out here and if you have questions, want to discuss this, then please share your thoughts.

I've kind of wanted to talk about this stuff with someone coz' these blind items always creep me out. Like it sounds bullshit, but there is always a small part of you questioning whether where might be any true to it. Do you mean the infamous Crazy Days, Crazy Nigths site? Appearantly, there have also been blinds about Timmy and Lily Rose relationship being PR. But these blinds, they often feel so... 'convenient'. Like you wonder, how does that one person get access to all this information and so conveniently quick?
And who is this Enty guy, anyway?
As for Timmy being rude, I don't buy it at all, too, don't imagine him doing that. He's too afraid to offend anyone, anyways. Absolutely terriyfing to think someone would be deliberately posting this to harm his reputation.

Hey evy, I welcome anyone to bring up a question regarding Timothée, be it gossip crap, or a general interest inquiry. I have been following CDAN off and on for at least 8 years, and I take a break from it because the negativity and lies are disturbing. My theory is that this person is in the industry and he gets information that is a mixture of pure bullshit to harm the reputation of someone, and it always comes on the coattails of something public about them, half truths, fun positive truths, and absolutely horrible gross gossip truths. What better way to rub salt into the wound of Timmy by posting a negative BI about him out of the blue days after his horrible Oscar snub? Then this same guy posts the random 'nice story' to give impression of being "fair and balanced" (gee, where does that motto come from?). And then he posts real tidbits that are absolutely horrible about people. The constant mixture of lies, fun positive stories, and gross truths, gives him 24/7 plausible deniability.

I pop my head in there every so often, and then I'm given a good reason why I should stay away. I believe he's being paid to write mean bullshit that comes so out of left field that you just can't believe it. Even some of his long time posters call him out on bullshit, but, they are addicted to his sordid stuff, so they keep coming back. The adage, keep your friends close, but your enemies closer, is prescribed to that website.

Anyway, what he wrote today is just not true, plain and simple.

Thanks, it's pretty much what I figured. So, wait, the same guy who posted the blind also posted the "nice" story (the one about him apologising after refusing a burger or was there anything else?)? Crazy, and doesn't make much sense.

And would it be too much to ask you where you stand on the romours about the Timmy and Lily's relationship being PR? I guess I'm concerned as I trust Brian and he does seem such a intelligent man and somehow I just don't wanna believe he and his team would be playing these games. That sort of PR seems so tacky, stupid, pointless, and well, actually outdated. And maybe could even be detrimental to his image under certain circumstances.

The only thing I'll say about Timmy and Lily-Rose is that they are/were cute together. They are starring in The King coming out some time this summer. It is common industry practice that co-stars date, either it be real or to give PR to both to help promote projects. No harm, no foul. With that said, I hope we see them again together.

I received confirmation that Timothée was not even asked yesterday on the SAG red carpet a question about the Oscars. If he was asked, he had a proper and professional response planned.
