Was Timothée too beautiful in Beautiful Boy to be taken seriously? The film had many problems. The editing, flash backs/forwards, questionable musical soundtrack, two narrative points of view, etc., all contributed to distancing audience. Many of the scenes felt like staged, set pieces. We never really get "into the gutter" with Nick, and David's narrative doesn't shed much light on their relationship. Where is the emotional wallop of Broken Circle Breakdown? Beautiful Boy is hollow, disjointed melodrama, and reduces Chalamet's performance to Oscar bait! |

Guess what! The film was released in DVD someday, somehow I overlooked it. But I bought it today in the nearby store.

Are you in the US, Teenca? I had to get it on Blu Ray from Canada. It wasn't released in the US on DVD or Blu Ray.

No, I'm in Hungary. Maybe it's worth releasing on DVD here because only a few people has Amazon Prime subscription. And BD market is so weak in H, almost doesn't exist.

Ah ok. Yes, it's never been released in the US on DVD/Blu Ray which I never understood why not. Thankfully I was able to get it from Canada via Amazon.
