I will be adding to this thread later on, as well as tracyrcat, about our fucking successful adventures at the Q&A at Cinemark Playa Vista today with Timothée! It will take time for me to upload the best pictures I took. I also want to write specifically about the Q&A and some revelations from Timmy's responses. To start you off, here is the tweet I tweeted immediately after the Q&A. But what I want to make sure you understand, is that I did introduce myself to Timmy, he seemed familiar with me (Thank you Jesus!) and he KNOWS about Club Chalamet (Fuck Yes!!), this affirmation is all I needed to keep doing what I and the rest of you are doing here. Anyhoo, more to come later this evening... I got other stuff to do first. Here's some cute photos taken from a different angle, I'm right up front, kinda behind Timmy, wearing glasses.

I cannot stress how pleased I am in how the Cinemark Q&A presentation went. It was as if me and Tracy were meant to be there. Basically, as I mentioned previously, it was just blind luck and perfect timing that I saw the Q&A announcement from the Beautiful Boy twitter account pop up on my phone just seconds after a meeting ended at work. Had that meeting gone on longer, I would have been screwed, but alas, that was not the case. I was able to get tickets for me and Tracy, and I thought that although I have seen Timmy several times before, and successfully gotten some pictures, and he signed a photo and my Beautiful Boy book, for all the joy this kid gives me, I should at least give him a very small but sentimental and inexpensive thank you token gift that hopefully he would some value in. As a practicing Buddhist, I visit a local Metaphysical, crystal, gems, quartz and Spiritual store here in Pasadena ( Alexandria II) that has tons of beautiful crystal and stone gem jewelry, books, and accessories. I myself wear mala bracelets to bring me good luck, calm my mind and spirit, and keep my auras clear. My favorite gem is the Aventurine (learn more here) as it brings good luck and prosperity to the wearer. I figured in bracelet form, perhaps Timmy would wear it and it would still look cool and fashionable. After the Q&A session, all the fans were polite and patient as they knew that Timmy would try to get to everyone, which he pretty much did. It says so much about his character that he cares so much for the fans. I think he loves us as much as we love him. When he got to me, I introduced myself and told him my name and that I represent the Club Chalamet message board. A smile of recognition came on his face and he knows about US - US y'all!! So it was confirmation that he knows this community/twitter exist and when I gave him the bracelet and told him that it's for good luck and to bring him prosperity and strong will and confidence for this upcoming awards season, he said, 'I'm totally going to wear it, I swear, I'm totally going to wear this', as he put it in his pocket. I smiled and told him thank you. I took a selfie with him and hugged him. I'm content in not having to see him again until he promotes The King or Dune. LOL! I am so fulfilled and just so happy that I was able to give him a $6 quartz bracelet that always sells out at the crystal store, and that at one point in the future, I may see him wear it. It's just so cool. Well, about the Q&A, I don't know if you'll ever be able to see the full video (I would like to see it again), but there were some great questions, and to my surprise, my question was asked. I'm sure that since it was generic, that it was asked by multiple people and that's why the moderator didn't state a twitter handle name. My question was, 'Which scene in BB was the most difficult for you to film', and there were two scenes that Timmy had a hard time with. The scene after the call that he made to his dad begging to come home and that he was sorry for robbing the house and all the other crap, and Timmy said it was just hard to be so low and to have a parent have to tell their child, who posed a danger to the entire family, NO, you cannot come home and I cannot help you. That hit him hard. The second scene was when he was in the alley in the rain. The rain machine combined with it being windy and cold was just brutal for him. I think I remember rumors about that scene and how challenging it was for Timmy, so I'm glad he was honest and shared that with us. Timmy did not want to share with us just yet, what his next project will be, which will most likely start filming in December. He was very coy and didn't want to give hints. But we'll just have to wait and see. I'm patient as I know it'll be a great project and have him working with a new director that he admires. The rest of the questions were pretty much what we've heard before but with a fresh perspective and directly from Timothée. All in all, I was impressed with how humble and forthcoming Timmy was, and the venue was perfect for such a live feed to other Cinemark theaters. Oh, one more note, Timmy informed us that the Bukowski poem that he recites at the end of the credits was spoken just 3 months ago, while he was winding down filming of The King, so it was definitely a very, very nice and unique touch. I'm sure Tracey and possibly other people that I may have met at the Q&A may want to chime in and share their photos. Below, here are mine. Like I said, they are ok, but you can see that I was very close and the lighting was not the most ideal. (I had to post on my tumblr page first so that I can post the images here).

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I don’t think I’ll have the chance to attend a Q&A but it’s great to read a detailed account. I saw him at LFF, it was crazy but I was lucky anyway. It looks like they asked my question about how he recorded the poem, though I was certainly not the only one to be curious about it. It’s even more impressive because he was on another project and when he reads it he is so totally into it. Can’t wait to see your photos !

I'm totally surprised that he knows this forum, because he barely goes to twitter. Besides the scenes hardest to shoot, were there other impressive questions and answers?

I'm totally surprised that he knows this forum, because he barely goes to twitter. Besides the scenes hardest to shoot, were there other impressive questions and answers? I assumed that once Brian started to follow me on Twitter pre-Toronto, that Timmy knew about the community. Although he hasn't posted on Twitter in months, I'm sure he visits to check out what's going on. If Brian likes a tweet, it would pop up on Timmy's notifications as 'Brian liked a post by xxx'. And that may signal to Timmy to check out what Brian liked. So, I just presumed that's the scenario in how Timmy came to know about us. I'll think of some other questions, but I was fiddling with taking pictures with my phone and camera that I lost some of the conversation, but it was stuff I heard before so those responses didn't particularly stand out, but it was still brilliant to listen to him talk.

Here is my short video of Timmy answering the question I submitted to Twitter about what was the most difficult scene for him to shoot in Beautiful Boy.

That's such a lovely experience, thanx for sharing! I love that it's usually so chaotic but you had a peaceful and cozy time by the looks of it and enough of time for a chat. Must have been very special.

A video I took of Timothee during the Q&A. Timothee was asked what it was like having Michael Scott and Holly from The Office as his parents in BB.
