This news has almost brought me to tears, and I'm trying very hard to maintain my dignity here at work but I want to scream and jump up and down. I'm so fucking and excited and happy that next year's Coachella is going to fucking ROCK OUT!!!
I'm already planning to see Sting in concert at this Las Vegas residency in June, but last night, I managed to snag a cheap nosebleed seat for his play on Valentine's Day (a treat to myself). So excited!! I've loved Sting since 1981-ish when De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da came out from The Police.
Last week was kind of crazy, but I forgot to mention that I was able to get a ticket to see Pearl Jam in Los Angeles on April 16th. Less that two months later, I'll fly to London to see them at my 'bucket list' show. I'll be poorer than a church mouse by August, but, if Kobe Bryant's death says anything, is that life is short and live it to the fullest, and do the things you LOVE.
Can you imagine Timmy being a part of any Dune Conventions in the future? I can't get my head around that. But I'm going to StrangerCon in LA for the Sunday only so I can see Eleven and Will. I'm not going to get their autograph or photos, they're just children. I'm happy to just be attending that one of the two days so I can be around Stranger Things fans. They may have something cooked up for Comic Con.

If Dune is really popular over the next few years in the culture, I can see Timothee and some of the other cast members doing a few conventions if invited to do so. I've actually had amazing experiences meeting some of my Star Trek, Once Upon a Time, Game of Thrones and Marvel heroes that way over the past decade. The only thing I dislike about conventions is how much money everything is from the entrance fees to autographs and photo ops. Weekends can get very expensive. But if it is someone you admire or love, those few seconds or minutes with that person are very memorable. I like the conventions because most people never have the opportunity to meet their celebrity crush without such events. I've noticed more A list stars doing the events too in the past 5 years; there used to be a stigma to doing them for actors but I think that has changed thanks to these massive fandoms and the diversity of film nowadays. Anyways I hope we get to see Timothee at a convention as it will be crazy fun.
I already prepared myself that this would be the outcome, and I have decided that I'm just going to cancel my plans to attend Coachella and receive a full refund. I'll use the monies for my upcoming trip(S) to London.
