I'm a new old guy - 78 and moving on. As we walked out of the theater after seeing CMBYN, I told my wife that Timothee was the greatest actor of his generation. She agreed, as did my then 22-year old granddaughter. I read the referenced article and signed up today. Learned a new word, too, so, yeah, I'll stan M. Chalamet.

This seems to have become a new member greeting thread. So hello. I too joined after reading the article. My name is Mara, 32yrs old. I have been active in fandom since I first discovered it on the fledgling internet circa 2000, though it's mostly been book or series related, with the notable exception of the Beatles, for which I Beta read fanfiction.
Im non neurotypical and go through intensive places of stanning a certain subject and then move on. I don't stop caring about a subject, I simply become hyperfixated on something new. Phases usually last a few years.
Timothée's emotional candor is delightful to me, and through experiencing his anxieties and joys and achievements and dreams and engagements I am both touched by his humanity and feel myself reconnect to what I want out of life. I find his bravery inspiring. And of course I am blown away by his acting prowess, like the entire world.
Feel free to @ me, I love socializing.

Very late reply but I wanted to share my happiness in seeing so many 30+ Tim's fans since I'm 37 and honestly, looking at this fandom, I feel like a creep for stanning a 26 years old 😅 Great interview btw!

I posted the article here so that people can read it for years to come. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and you shouldn't feel like a creep liking Timmy, he's an actor and you're his fan. Thanks!

I'm 46 and I don't feel like a creep at all for being a fan of his. His fan base has such a wide age range. In the fandom I've met and talked with women in their 20's as well as women in their 60's. He a beautiful person inside and out and extremely talented. Who wouldn't love him? You should never feel it's wrong to be a fan of his at any age in my opinion.

I'm a male and 37 years old. I may be more of an oddity since the majority of Timothees fans are women, but I think he has a growing base of male fans too especially after Dune. I just wish I was back in my 20s like him but with the experience I have now.

You're not as much of an oddity as you think. I belong to several Facebook groups dedicated to him and there are many men that post saying what big fans they are of him. And again, like with the women, there's a wide age range.

And again, like with the women, there's a wide age range. You're right. At one point we had an older gentleman register here at the forums and he proudly declared that he was in his LATE 70s!! LOL! Bless Timmy for bringing so many fans together across all generations, genders, and sexual orientation who love him.
