Here is a link to cliff notes about Laurie Laurence, the male character in Little Women that Timmy is slated to play. I have not read this book, I'm ashamed to say, but I will have to get up to speed and watch a version of it soon. Meanwhile, here's some good stuff about this Laurie guy - Theodore 'Laurie' Laurence

I'm in love with this news, seriously. I read the book several times when I was younger, I still have it and I'll have to read it again to refresh my memory. I also watched and loved the animated series when I was a child and then later the movie adaptation with Susan Sarandon and Winona Ryder. Plus, this cast is amazing and Timmy as Laurie is perfect casting, so I'm really excited.

Wow Manuela, you're a stan for Little Women and that's fantastic. I need to get caught up and read the book this year.

I think it is no longer a rumor. Brian replied to a fan when she voiced out her worries. I know nothing about Little Women but I am glad he has new work after the King. According to Backstage, it will start filming on Oct 15.

Thanks Mindy!
As per Patti's PSA tweet yesterday about Little Women on Netflix leaving the streaming service as of July 1st (today), I watched it last night. While it's not my cup of tea, it was watchable and I can see why people like it. I think Winona Ryder did a great job as Jo, and Samantha Mathis as older Amy was gorgeous. I kinda wish the remake could be modernized instead of staying set in the 19th Century, just to give it a fun new twist.
BTW, it looks like Brian deleted his response. But not before people screencapped his reply. LOL!

What's going to happen with Timmy's hair in this movie? His long curls would be perfect for Laurie but they're gone? Will they make him wear a wig for Little Women? Or could it be it really is a wig he's wearing for The King. Seems difficult to have a bowl cut wig, but there is so much mystery around his hair. One of the hair department people was asked if itìs a wig on instagram and she didn't reply but with an emoticon with zipped lips. I wonder why the mystery.

Hmmm, if filming for Little Women starts in October, I wonder if Timothée's hair will grow back in enough for him to perhaps have extensions instead of a wig. I think filming of The King ends in late August, early September, right?

One of the hair department people was asked if itìs a wig on instagram and she didn't reply but with an emoticon with zipped lips. I wonder why the mystery. It's 100% not a wig. He cut/shaved his hair - two people from set confirmed it. He's going to have to wear a wig for Little Women... There have been conflicting reports, in truth. Someone said they saw him with his usual hair when he went to have lunch in between filming. I don't know, I definitely tend to think he cut it, but you never know.
I wonder how long the shooting for this movie will take. I guess they will be flexible with the actors having to promote their movies coming out, especially Timmy since BB is released on October 12, so after Little Women has already started filming. Probably it helps he is a supporting character, so he won't be needed as much as the actresses.

I do hope he is in this movie a little bit more than he was in Lady Bird though, because he was barely in that one.

Being a ginormous Little Women fan (I read Little Women for the first time at 10 years old, and have subsequently reread all four books in the series umpteen times), I was super excited when it was announced! Timmy is simply the absolute perfect choice for Laurie. I always had slight issues with the other adaptations that I've seen - either the casting or the screenplay was a little off - but I don't think I'll have issues with the casting for this one Saoirse Ronan is also the perfect choice for Jo, couldn't ask for better. Am really looking forward to him portraying Laurie's rebelliousness, when he was tired of life with his grandpa and wanted to run off with Jo. Also his kindness, generosity, openness, and sense of mischief

Not surprised! This is such a Christmas movie. I don't know if I'll go home to Michigan or to New York City for Xmas that year, but I do want to be somewhere cold to see this movie.
