LW doesn't seem a fit for Cannes, but who knows. I see it more at NYFF (maybe Telluride, I don't know anything about this festival though). LW is the Timmy movie I am least interested in, but of course I will see it! Does seem like Sony has a lot of faith in it, so that is a great sign!

Variety has updated their article and LW is NOT going to Cannes. Someone messed up. I never thought it was a fit for Cannes (although I am no expert by any means) and it only finished filming in December, so having it ready for Cannes seemed completely unrealistic to me. So maybe TIFF or NYFF?? "Sony’s “Little Women,” a star-studded ensemble directed by Greta Gerwig which is due in theaters Dec. 25, will not be among the films bowing at this year’s Cannes Festival." variety.com/2019/film/global/cannes-xaiver-dolan-pedro-almodovar-ken-loach-terrence-malick-competition-1203190447/

Awww well. Seems it won't be ready for TIFF or NYFF. One film down, one left to go, ha ha!

Well looks like Little Women is ready enough for a test screening. There is one, tomorrow, May 6th in New Jersey. I know someone who is going to it. Hoping for good news!

How do you get to attend a test screening for a film? I never see them advertised. Is it exclusive and invitation only?

How do you get to attend a test screening for a film? I never see them advertised. Is it exclusive and invitation only? You have to live in areas like LA and NYC and belong to organizations affilated with the industry as well as register with companies that do film screenings like Gofobo - gofobo.com/

Thanks for the info. It would be fun to see a test run of the film before the general public.

I know he won't give out any spoilers, which is a good thing and I think everyone who goes to test screenings signs a NDA, but I just want to ask him how the movie was overall and even though Timmy has a supporting role, is it a "meaty" part at least.
Meanwhile, there is still silence regarding "The King!"

I've been to test screenings and you do have to sign a form saying you won't say anything about the film. They have a way of tracking you down on social media if you say anything. It's best to just not even say you're going to a particular test screening because that will put your social media account on their radar. So, I don't know what this person will say about LW other than saying that Timmy was cute and did a good job. It has to be as one note and generic like that, and still that's TMI.
I remember one particular loud mouth "fan" on twitter who claimed to love Timmy so much, but also took join in slamming him. I don't know what you call those kind of fans other than being fucking bi-polar. Anyway, he and a few other fools dissed Beautiful Boy so much that it scared fence sitters. I ignored them and wound up loving the film.

This is off topic, but since we're talking about test screenings, I'm going to one on Thursday night and this is the disclaimer in my RSVP:

Of Timmy's upcoming films it is the one I am least excited for, but this gives me hope it will be a good movie. Maybe I'll actually really enjoy it! Have you noticed that TIFF is tweeting an awful lot about Little Women (the older versions, Greta's version). Maybe a bit of wishful thinking on their part??
