Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, said they are “thrilled that [Chalamet] has chosen our studio to be his creative home.” As part of the first-look agreement, Chalamet can make movies elsewhere, but Warner Bros. will get first dibs on backing his potential projects.

I honestly don't understand what the big deal is. But based on re-post commentary snark of this tweet, a lot of people aren't investors and completely fail to understand the concept of investing in a company you're interested in at an affordable stock price to support recent business decisions. A lot of people on twitter re-tweeted and re-quoted my WBD stock tweet and found it hilarious that a person would buy stock in WBD. Most of the people hate Timmy too, so it was pure troll bullshit.
