And that's that! All TIFF tickets have sold out for Beautiful Boy. It's a damn shame I had to resort to stubhub to get tickets to my preferred venue, The Elgin, at twice the cost.
If tickets do become available, it will be through Rush, and then it's still a slim chance. Tickets are for sale at Stubhub, but, the prices are so rude.

To everyone going to TIFF - enjoy! Regarding BB, let's hope the reviews mirror what Peter Travers said in his review - Timmy surpasses CMBYN and that the movie should be on people's best of the year list. I am a bit nervous about the film. While we have a number of positive screening reports, the subject matter and the comparison to Ben is Back makes me worry about the reception and reviews. I am a lurker on the Awards Watch Forum and have decided to stay off it for a while. It seems like a number of the members on that site have a bit of an anti Chalamet bias. The comments are sort of snarky and unkind, almost like they don't want him to succeed. I don't get it, but I am going to avoid it.

I get angrier and angrier watching their comments, so disgusting!

Whether I get up close to Timmy and get my book signed or not, I'm just so excited to be there and watch his film and see one of the Q&As. I hope to take lots of good pictures and chronicle my BB adventures to share with you all. RE: Awards Watch, as I stated before, that is not a nice place to visit. It's very toxic, poorly managed, and when a site is poorly managed, trolls and anti-social types make it their playground. I know this because I used to be a member there for about 5-6 years and took many breaks from the forums due to the trolling and negativity. Because I haven't been there in nearly 2 years, I don't know what they are saying about Timmy, but I'm not shocked. They are threatened by his success, his talent, his popularity, his charisma, his beauty: all of what they are not! So to everyone reading this, pay AW no attention, STOP going there, and focus on helping build up Club Chalamet so this community can be the primary forum group that supports Timothée.

Simone that's good advice! I am looking forward to seeing BB in October. In addition to Timmy, I really like the work of Steve Carrel and Maura Tierney. The Sheff books are compelling and reflect a real horror that many families are facing. I imagine the film is touching and authentic (and I have confidence that TC gave it is all!)

^ thanks to you and tealover, I went ahead and tweeted a Fandom Public Service Announcement telling people to avoid Awards Watch. I may get backlash from the people at that community, but I'm like, 'fuckin' bring it'!

“I never want to say that losing 20 pounds for the film or getting into the headspace would be what the experience of an addict would be, because that’s not fair. I don't feel a pressure to wave my flag of suffering in relation to my performance,”said Timmy.
Our beautiful boy is an actual angel. I'm so so proud of him.

Such great and singular reviews for Timmy in BB. I hope those of you on this board who saw the film at TIFF will share your thoughts. Reading the reviews, it was amazing to see the critics commenting so effusively on Timmy's performance and overall talent (a few emphasized that he is one of the most talented actors of his generation). While he the ink implies he is a strong contender for the BSA nomination, the mixed reviews of the film could hurt his chances. Ideally, the overwhelming consensus about his performance will keep in the race. (Even acclaimed director Barry Jenkins complemented TC on Twitter.) Regardless, these exemplary reviews will keep Timmy in the stratosphere of "go to" young actors - I imagine directors and producers will want to work with him even more after his BB performance. On a more shallow note, Timmy looked every inch a "movie star" on the BB red carpet. He is growing into his leading man looks while retaining his authentic charm and common sense!

Both expert and user predictions for BSA nomination/win at Goldderby currently put Tim in the first place, which looks promising.

Hi everyone! I'm back home from Toronto! I will write up a full report to post later today, along with exclusive images I took along the red carpet. At least two of them are of the 'zoom zoom' quality that I said I wanted to get. I had a great time, Beautiful Boy is a fantastic film, I'm confident Timmy will get his Supporting Actor nomination, and, he signed my BB book!
More later, thanks!

^ Thank you! I practiced with my camera on my fat cat who still moves very quickly. I realized for these live event shots, the camera setting needs to be at 'Sport activity' for motion detection, that's why they aren't blurry. Glad you're enjoying the pics. I may release more over time.
