Just wondering if anyone knows when BB will be released on DVD & Blu Ray? I haven't heard anything and just hope that they are going to release it. Thanks.

I asked them and they said that for the time being, it's just available on Amazon Prime video. I hope it's released on blu-ray eventually.

Thanks, Simone. I do hope they release it eventually. I really thought it would've been out by now.

Beautiful Boy will be coming out on DVD/Blu Ray on March 13. That's according to Amazon Studios anyway.

I had a chance to see BB for a second time; seemed stronger upon a rewatch. The critics were unreasonably harsh, especially about the use of flashbacks. The jumps and cuts reflected the conflict between current chaos of Nic's behavior and the optimistic, loving times in the past. After seeing Ben is Back, BB's portrayal of addiction was even more impactful. While Julia Roberts gives a very moving performance in BIB, the plot is contrived and incredibly obvious about checking the opiod crisis villains (i.e. big pharma, health care system, etc.). Roberts has to say some cringe inducing dialogue, especially at the AA meeting - "everyone seems so nice!" Seeing Ben is Back gave me a deeper appreciation for the realism BB delivered on. Certainly Lucas Hedges gave a good performance as he shifted between shady and sad, but is was a performance. In BB, Timothee is incredibly natural, he embodies the role. I have not seen another actor who could do this since Health Ledger in BM. Would like to hear from others that may have seen both films.

Unluckily Ben is back won't be released in cinemas in my country, I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I should find another way to watch. Nevertheless I agree about BB's flashbacks. The use of flashbacks were incredible in this film.

I have heard this from numerous other people. So many were incredibly harsh and didn't even seem to give the movie a chance. They didn't like the back and forth and didn't even try to understand its meaning. I haven't seen BiB yet - I'll just wait until it comes online or On Demand. I have heard the first half is good but then it gets crazy in the second half.

I saw BB 3 times in the theater and each time I watched it I noticed things I hadn't the 1st time I'd seen it. That's why I always think it's a good idea to see things more than once. You can't really absorb it all on the 1st viewing. And I agree, Timmy's performance was absolutely amazing. I honestly thought he should've been nominated for an Oscar and couldn't believe that he wasn't. He definitely deserved to be. I haven't see BiB so I can't compare the 2 movies.
Also, heard it's coming out on DVD & Blu Ray on March 13. I hope that's true. I will definitely buy it to add to my Timmy movie collection. lol
