That's correct and glad you got your airline reservation resolved. Although I joke about it, I support the delay if it means the theatre going experience will be like pre-pandemic in a post-pandemic world. I know we will eventually get there as all pandemics end based on history. And the good thing with the United Kingdom is that most people are willing to get vaccinated. Now if we can get another 100 million Americans onboard with being vaccinated we might be able to end this insanity sooner!

Didn't Old Vic mention it wouldn't be earlier than July 2022. I imagine it will be 2023 or even 2024. I contacted Virgin Atlantic and they told me my credit is good until April 30, 2023. I'm afraid this is a good prediction. Though I hope it won't be 2024. I'm glad your credit is good until 2023.

According to the CDC, visiting the UK is not encouraged. In fact, the UK is in the highest warning level of 4 for Covid. I have canceled my December plans to visit a friend in Bristol, I'm going to NY instead.
I have said all the long that I believe that 4K Miles will go into production in 2023... and I would not be surprised if it's pushed into 2024.

Oh man!!! I can stomach 2023 or sooner. But 2024 ... 2024 ... well if there are stage doors again I want my selfie and autograph and will tell Timothee that I have been waiting 5 years for this glorious play haha! Good thing he perpetually looks young as he ages. He will look like he is 20 years old when he is about 30. So the role still works!

^LOL! Yes, 2024 is a long ways off, but I think Timmy's filming schedule for Dune Part II and other projects yet to be announced could push the play further out. But let's keep our fingers crossed that it's in 2023... I think 2024 would be pushing it so far out that people will ask for refunds.

I'm posting my IG post here because although it's a Dune update about when Part II will be filmed, this announcement has a direct effect on when Timmy will have time to do 4k Miles. https://www.instagram.com/p/CS0PAYyPKlT

If the play is delayed into 2023, at least it is for the good reason of Dune Part 2 filming. I am also slightly resigned to the fact that this play may never happen for various reasons such as Timothees film schedule being more hectic over the next decade. He is at that age when an actor like him is so high in demand for tv and film projects that theatre work may be secondary for a while. But we shall see and hope!

Well, per the last communication from the Old Vic when they updated us that 4K Miles was not going into production before the summer of 2022, they seemed still very enthused about it happening some point down the line. It's totally sold out, there's no way they will cancel the production. Timmy being the most in demand member of the cast, will fit this into his schedule at some point post-2022.

I appreciate your optimism and think it is definitely well founded for the reasons you said with the play more likely to happen than not happen. But if a year from now we somehow start talking about some date beyond 2023 that's where my uncertainty lies. And the other factor of course is does 87 year-old Eileen Atkins still partake in the performances or will the role have to be fulfilled by some other "Grand Dame." It would be awesome if at 89 or 90 years old Eileen was still acting and going strong. Thatd be amazing to see in person too after a global pandemic!
