Me too! Great illustration! I havent even seen the movie yet and I just cant imagine anyone but Timothee as Paul!
I have a Dune premiere question. What is happening with red carpets in Los Angeles right now? Are they becoming normal again with stars and fans screaming and behind rope or not quite yet?
Do you think there will be a giant star studded red carpet in Los Angeles for Dune? I always thought there would and should be.
It's so cool to see how far we have come as a country with the pandemic that we can even discuss such things.

Things aren't back to that normal yet with red carpet and fans, but I think by time Dune has its red carpet premiere, either in LA or NY, or it could be in London, regular fans should be able to see the action, with proof of vaccination. The Delta variant is a real threat for those who aren't vaccinated.

Dune will screen at TIFF. Denis is Canadian so it's a cool honor for him. Dune will be a Special Event, so I don't know what that means. This will make getting tickets very challenging and the venue is on one of the harbor islands, not downtown Toronto. I don't even know if Timmy will be able to attend because he'll be doing The Met Gala, and filming for Wonka begins in September.

He's got so many things going on in Sept it seems. He can't possibly do them all. The Met Gala, Wonka filming supposedly starts and also The French Dispatch will be screening at the NY Film Festival which is also in Sept I believe. And now Dune at TIFF.

Due to the large ensemble size for The French Dispatch, I can't imagine Timmy attending that screening especially since he'll be attending Cannes. The same for Dune at TIFF, if he makes it, great, but if not, it's due to his commitments to start filming Wonka. But I do expect Timmy to make more sacrifices for Dune since he's the LEAD in that, whereas in French Dispatch he's part of a large ensemble so his support beyond Cannes is not as crucial.

Despite Timothee being super busy, I expect A LOT of Dune promotion since he is the LEAD STAR as you say. There will be magazines, television interviews, many public appearances, etc. I cant wait!!!

Ok, in the 4th release date change, Dune will be released on October 22nd. I think Timmy's heavy schedule in late August through September (Venice, TIFF, Met Gala, AND filming Wonka, may have been a factor in this shift of 3 weeks).

I just saw it has shifted. I think it has to do with Venon and the James Bond movie coming out around the same time. Pushing this to 10/22 gives a little breathing room after those films come out. Makes sense.
Venom - 24 Sep Bond - 8 Oct Dune - 22 Oct (prev 1 Oct) Eternals - 5 Nov

So what you guys are telling me is that I'm going to be broke from going to the movies this fall?! After the horror show of pandemic, just take my money Hollywood (so long as the movies are good!)

It's going to be interesting. But I think Dune comes first, he has the leading role in it. As for the new release date we've been waiting for so long 3 weeks don't matter. Tracy is right, due to the crowd, it makes sense.

Yep, just what I thought and it makes perfect sense. I know people who will see Bond before they would see Dune. So it gives Dune some breathing room.
