When I first heard about this film, the topic didn't really appeal to me. However, after I saw the trailer, I think it's going to be a good film.

I don't expect it to be a masterpiece like CMBYN, of course, but I read some positive reviews and I think it can make for a couple of hours of fun. I just don't know if and when I'll be able to watch it, not living in the US.

Dang, I wish I had DirecTV because Hot Summer Nights airs today on it. I'll have to wait a few more weeks to see it in the theater.

I don't even think it'll do hot business at the box office, but I hope Chalamet fans go out in droves to see it. But it also opens the weekend Mission Impossible 4 or 5 opens too, and I want to see that as well.

Yeah, I doubt it'll be a box office hit considering it's also coming out on Directv first, but I hope it does ok. This is one of those times I wish I lived in the US, because I'm afraid I'll have to wait for a while to see this movie, because the DVD/digital release seem to be the only possibilities for me. And that's assuming there will be one. Too bad because I'm curious and the pictures/clips I've seen already going around are just making me want to see it even more.

Timothée is a professional lollipop sucker. Boy knows how to suck and use his beautiful eyes. He's bad!

I saw a clip of that scene or part of it, I think on tumblr? I forgot. Anyway, very hot scene.

I'm going to avoid watching too many clips, besides the random gif here and there. I want don't want to see too many spoilers before I actually see the film.

Yeah, I don't want to completely spoil myself either. I've only seen a couple of scenes clips so far. One thing I think I can say is that I will like the soundtrack.

Interesting to note that this was made before CMBYN and it's just now coming to theatres...but being first streamed on DirecTV. I wonder if Timothee's success (Oscar nomination) kept it from going exclusively to streaming.

You may be on to something Patti. This film has the hallmarks of a direct to streaming film, but perhaps due to Timmy's success and popularity, why not put it in theaters to earn some box office money. If I were the studio, I'd do the same thing. But it has been common practice in recent memory to put certain films on Directv a week or two before a short theatrical run.

I think Timmy's success is pretty much the main reason if not the only one why A24 and Directv bought the film and are now releasing it.

i haven't watched the film yet (too scared to watch stuff illegally) so i got my friends to tell me all about it and tbh im kind of sad they changed so much if it from the screenplay (which I read and cried over), which I could explain but would basically spoil the whole film

I read something about this changes, particularly about the end. I think I would have liked the other end better.
