"Make it yours!!! Make it England!!! Make it England!!!" I want to reenact that speech just for fun. The film could have been better but Timothee's performance was awesome. There are just too many good films and actors this year. Still I enjoy Oscar surprises and here is hoping we see a few tomorrow.

I just want to share an observation about Little Women. Obviously the movie is having greater success financially at the box office than probably the creators ever imagined. And let me just say its definitely word of mouth. I have done my best to encourage friends to see it. And when people do they fall in love with the film. I have not heard one person who saw the film tell me she or he disliked it. Good movies always find an audience.

I have unfollowed Sasha Stone. After tolerating her seemingly bi-polar type manic hysteria when she expresses extreme opinions, I just fucking had it with her in her targeted attacks against Greta Gerwig, and any woman filmmaker this year. People like Sasha have an audience that they can manipulate by polluting the waters of conscious thinking with their negativity. If a "woman" cinephile and Awards prognosticator like Sasha feels Gerwig is a weak director and that Little Women sucks, that holds weight more than my low hanging fruit polite and positive support for Greta and women directors. I can't follow such a person anymore, and ironically, I followed her to support her voice as a WOMAN in the crowded white male dominated field of awards prognosticators and film reviewers. I have now seen Little Women 4 times (once as a test screen), and on this 4th viewing, it really is a very special and beautiful film. I think Sony is really going to go for the Adapted Screenplay as this is the strongest category for it to win in. I'm hoping for a surprise Oscar win for Ronan because she really was excellent, and the film received 6 Oscar noms. Judy only received 2, and not in Best Pic. If Saoirse wins the BAFTA, she's primed to win the Oscar. Greta is a great storyteller and at 36, I'm glad she's doing so well with just directing her second film. It was nice to meet her last night at Sony.

Living in Los Angelos affords some cool opportunities. So glad you got to meet Greta and you had a good time. More of my friends have now seen Little Women all based on positive word of mouth in the media and life. The movie is an amazing success whatever happens Oscar night. It would be stunning if Little Women won Best Picture ... I dont see that happening but I think it has good odds. I still think 1917 will rule the day.

Sasha's dislike of Greta seems very personal,I don't see her attacking any other female directors the way she does with Gerwig. It's bizarre to say the least.
