I'm not taking it seriously, believe me. It's just 1 person's opinion. In all honesty, it could be the worst movie in the world and I'd still want to see it. lol

Just read a review from someone who saw the movie. They said it's terrible. Everything from the acting (including Timmy's) to the story line to the characters. Of course that's just 1 person's opinion. I still want to see it to form my own opinion. So I hope it eventually gets released in the US. Oh, the 1 (and apparently only) thing they liked is that Timmy plays the piano and sings in it. Now that I cannot wait to see. Well, it wouldn't surprise me, as the trailer looked awful and awkward and shockingly cliché. I'm hoping it's ironically cliché and intentionally OTT. And that that person didn't quite get it and it has merits, but I'm not holding my breath. Here's to The King coming out at the same time and eclipsing it.

If anyone has ever seen a Woody Allen film, he's the king of being neurotic. His characters are often very flawed, weird, selfish, narcissists, and just plain old crazy. The trailer was signature Allen characters. I wouldn't be surprised if most fans of Timmy have never seen an Allen film and be turned off by the strange quirkyness of his trailers and films.

That's just it, the trailer made it look like a parody of a woody Allen film, so I was hoping for ironic self awareness?
I've seen most of Allen's film, they are notoriously of an uneven quality. There's no comparing Annie Hall with An Irrational Man. But he hasn't made a good film since Blue Jasmin so maybe the odds are in our favour and we're due...

I really have no opinion on the expected quality for 'Rainy Day'. I just want to see it, and judge for myself after viewing it. Til this very day, my favorite Allen film is 'A Midnight in Paris'. I just loved it. In fact, after seeing that movie, I finally visited Paris for the first time in 2013. Another Allen film, ' Crimes and Misdemeanors' was brilliant, .... I could list 5 other Allen films that were enjoyable, so, I think at the very least, I'll like Rainy Day.

Yeah, I could probably name more than five that I love (and more than five that I don't). The examples you gave, BTW, are universally considered among his better ones, so while I agree one should always make their own mind and not blindly follow positive or negative hypes, it's not the point I was making.

Whew, thank goodness it won't be there! Too much of a distraction and Timmy would have been asked all about it and he clearly has distanced himself from it. Happy it will be The King - I am sure he'll love talking about that movie.

Thanks. I don't think Timmy has great voice, but his singing is so beautiful and nice!

Rainy Day is actually opening in my country (Lithuania) next Friday. Was very surprised to learn that, but very much looking forward to seeing the movie. The bit with Timmy singing at the piano is so beautiful!

You Europeans are lucky. I know I'll see it eventually. It's a travesty that a man's art is being prevented from being seen, especially since he hasn't been convicted of crimes he's been alleged to have committed. He's no angel, but, he hasn't been found guilty.

There are 3 people on the CMBYN FB page who saw it today in Poland. All 3 liked it (they are Timmy fans, so not sure how much to read into 3 comments). One said it was light, pleasant and funny and Timmy was great. The person who wrote this was afraid they wouldn't like it and it would be boring. But that was not the case. Another said it was a super movie and Timmy was fantastic. So nice to hear positive comments at least. Not sure when it will come out here in the US.
