In regards to test screenings, lately, I have seen a ton of invites on Facebook. I don't know if it is just certain people to see the invitations or many people. They have been all over LA - Culver City, Sony Studios, Fox Studios, Beverly Hills, etc. They seem legit but this literally just started happening for me a couple months ago and now I see them all the time, literally almost every day. Odd that they just started showing up on my FB page.
There was one I was interested in but it mentions one can't be employed in market research and I work for a large international market research company, IPSOS. I even clicked on it once to see if I could register but it had that one question in the form about market research (although I don't know how they would know I work there). The ones I sees on FB have the same contingencies that you posted Simone.

Tracy, because of your job, you would not be able to attend these screenings, you work in market research with many of your customers being the studios.

Well my friend loved LW (and someone he went with loved it too). He is not a fan of the book at all. He said the cut he saw was very good even considering there is some editing that needs doing. He told me while Timmy is a supporting character, he had more screen time than he thought he would, so that is encouraging. He said Timmy fans will not be disappointed and will fall in love with him again (not surprising). And he said Timmy's performance was riveting - technically and intuitively masterful. Of course he is "a little" biased as we all are, but sounds very encouraging!
Oh, he also said Saoirse and Florence were "exquisite." And they have 2 climatic scenes with Timmy - these scenes are some of the best in the movie. I admit I wasn't very excited about this movie (I have not read the book or seen any of the adaptions) but I am more excited now!

Great to hear! I do think this film with its strong cast may be a contender awards season. Maybe some supporting actor nominations for Timothee. Its amazing how Timothee seems to have a parallel young career to an idol of his Christian Bale who got many accolades in the 1990s version. Smaller dramas with the occasional big budget film seems to be a winning recipe for a long successful career. I think only difference today is television and streaming are much more prominent now and theres less of a dividing line between film and tv stars.

Oh that's excellent, so glad to hear that Timmy was his usual outstanding self in Little Women. Greta is a Chalamaniac, so you know she gave him some meat to bite off for this role.

I was hoping she would! My friend was surprised that he liked it as much as he did. He said there are some issues, but mainly just due to the source material (from his perspective) and Greta did a credible job on those things. He seemed quite impressed with Greta. Definitely seems like Timmy, Saoirse and Florence were very good. He mentioned Emma/James were good/credible. He also mentioned it is 2 hrs 15 min.....for now anyways. I am sure some editing will be done. So good news anyways!

Funny how people don't pay much attention to the NDAs they signed.

Figured out how to insert the tweets directly. A few more who saw the test screening.

Funny how people don't pay much attention to the NDAs they signed. Probably most do but some don't. The tweets I posted are pretty generic though. I know on AW for BB last year, there were 3 regular posters who posted about the test screening in Jan 2018. Didn't give specific scene info but definitely talked about its faults (to them) and some other stuff. I remember thinking, didn't you sign an NDA!

At the test screening I went to last night, the studio spokesperson begged us to not say anything on social media about the film. We're the first audience to view it. He said any negative or positive comments about the film will be counterproductive to the editing process, especially negative commentary as the film is not a finished product. I clearly remember those fools who kept dissing BB, with them damn well knowing that the film wasn't finished being edited. They put a lot of negativity about the film out there, nine months before its premiere. Not cool at all. Some people just like to brag that they saw a film first, especially so-called fans of the star of that movie.
I enjoyed the film I saw last night, and that's all I'll say about it.

I definitely think some just like to brag that they saw it first, like you mentioned. But it is extremely unfair to especially give negative feedback on social media after watching a test screening. That is the point, for them to get feedback and make changes. I don't hear a lot about test screenings, so I think most people stick to the NDA's.
The three on AW were talking quite a lot about it and it was the first test screening. I had just discovered AW back then, saw the BB thread, jumped in and there were the comments. I was surprised, so say the least. It did put negative vibes out there, which can be hard to overcome. I ended up loving BB but it certainly could have deterred some from watching it. Must be beyond frustrating for studios nowadays.
